The Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State, invites applications from qualified candidates to fill the position below:
Job Title: Registrar
Location: Obudu, Cross River
Duties
- The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College and is responsible to the Provost for the general administrative work and running of the College.
- Keep all records of staff and students.
- Conduct and receive all correspondence of Council and Management.
- In addition to other duties conferred by the Federal Colleges of Education Act, 2023, be the Secretary to Council, Management Committee, Academic Board, and any Committee of Council.
- Perform any other function which the Council or Provost may so direct.
Qualification / Requirements
Candidates must have the following requirements:
- A good honors Degree in any of the Social Sciences or Art subjects from any recognized institution of higher learning.
- Must possess a relevant Master's degree from a recognized institution of higher learning with at least 18 years of cognate work experience. Possession of a Doctorate Degree is an added advantage.
- Must have been a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 15.
- Evidence of continuous Mandatory Professional Development.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
- Must be a member of a recognized professional body in a relevant field.
- Successful candidates must not be above the age of fifty-nine (59) years at the time of taking up the appointment.
Terms of Appointment / Conditions of Service
- Conditions of Service are as contained in the current 2015 Revised Schemes and Conditions of Service for Federal Colleges of Education in Nigeria.
Duration of Tenure
- The tenure for the appointment is for a single tenure of five (5) years from the date of appointment.
Salary
- Consolidated salary for Registrar and College Librarian of the Federal Colleges of Education will apply.
